How are laser crystals made?

Laser Crystal technology is a new technology which allows you to burn your personal portrait image deep into high-grade crystal. Special powerful laser machines focus ultra thin laser beams into a custom shaped crystal to duplicate your photo image. The final results is an image that is a 100% duplication of the photograph with the exception that they are not in color. It is not possible to duplicate full color image with this technology because the laser beam actually burns thousands of micro-bubbles filled with air (void) deep into the crystals.

The process begins with scanning your portrait into a photo editor like Adobe PhotoShop. The photograph you submit can be full color or black & white. It is more important that the photograph be clear and of high quality (120 to 200 dpi). Portrait taken by professional companies like PicturePeople makes the best laser crystal. After the photo is scanned and/or edited, it is converted to a grayscale portrait. The file is then imported into a special program, which coverts it to a raster file which will be read by the laser head.

This process can take up to (2) hours to complete, but when completed, you will have your very own crystal portrait that will never fade or change.

Durability is what makes laser portrait crystals ideal for gifts for family and friend. As long as you don't break them they last forever. Order your today!
